Yokohama Workshops
The purpose of these workshops was to prepare students to the solo competition. That is why the number of participants was limited.
Students came from Tokyo, Yokohama, and Osaka.
After a 3 hour workshop about dance technique, we carefully watched the performances prepared for the competition by each student, and we arranged and ameliorated them until the performance fits with the student level and personality.
One student from Osaka is planning to come to Tahiti in December to perform a dance solo fusion of Ori Tahiti, Hip hop and street dance! This is very original, and she will be probably able to perform on stage, not in the competition category though.
Technique Workshops and Aparima
The Te Tuamarama team wishes to express its apologies about the date modification. Heiata students had an event planned on this day, and they could not participate in the workshop.
We changed the dates of the workshops because when we first set the schedule, we did not know that the date for the Heiva I Tokyo had been planned two weeks earlier than the previous years.
The program of the workshops was the same as in Komatsu: only the Otea choreography was different.
