Costume Making Workshop
Only available in Tahiti and Moorea
We propose different types of workshops:
- fresh plant costume,
- dry plant costume,
- fabric costume.
Fresh Plant Costume Workshop
This workshop will teach students the proper techniques for preparing a crown, necklace, and fresh plant belt using either flowers or autis.
Duration: 2 hours with a minimum of two participants.
Materials: Plants and materials are provided, but the participants must bring their own scissors.
Price: 5000F per person.
Prices can vary depending upon the size of the group participating.
Dry Plant Costume Workshop
This workshop will teach students the proper technique for preparing a hat, a hip belt, or a neck ornament using paeore (pandanus), or ni’au (coconut tree palm).
Students can also learn how to weave both paeore and ni’au to make a small bag or hat.
Duration: 2 hours with a minimum of two participants.
Materials: Plants and materials are provided, but the participants must bring their own scissors.
Price: 5000F per person.

Fabric costume workshop
The fabric costume workshop is meant only for instructors. This workshop is often used to complement the teacher-training course. The workshop focuses on the skirt, belt, and fabric tutu production process.
