Workshops in Okinawa. July 2011
Kayoko Soma decided to create her own school in early 2011. In March, before having met, she invited me to teach in Okinawa and asked me to organise the first workshops to train dance teachers in Japan.
Her new school, established in Chatan, had no more than sixty students at that time; I nonetheless accepted to go in July.
Seven students from Okinawa and from the mainland took part in the first workshop and it was a success.
Around fifty students attended the dance technique classes for Aparima and Otea.
