Workshop in Spain, april and may 2013
In Mieres April 27 th
I started my Spanish workshops in Mieres, close to Oviedo, where Ariadna teaches. This time I only had 15 students taking the workshops, including the two boys who usually take the class.
Even when there are not so many students, it is always a pleasure to go back there and to see how much they have improved since the last workshops.
In Bilbao April 28th
It is the first time I’ve taught in Bilbao. The weather was very bad, it was freezing even though it was early May, however, the students were really motivated, and hardworking. They made the workshop very pleasant. I had only one beginner, and she bravely took the whole class although it was an intermediate course.
Two of my English and French students joined the Bilbao Workshops because I did not hold workshops in France.
Barcelona May 3rd and 4th
In Barcelona, I again met the students who often take my workshops. Most of them take Ariadna’s classes in Barcelona, once a month.
Devorah Korek, oriental dance teacher, joined us since the workshops were taking place in her dance studio.
The contents of the workshops included two aparima: one of the two was a song by Toa Ura, a kind of haka. It was an unusual choice for an aparima workshop. The students really enjoyed learning that kind of choreography!
