Workshop in Chigasaki, July 2011

The July 2011 workshops were organized by Mihoko Ogawa, Leilani.

Mihoko came from Chigasaki to follow my class in Osaka during the month of February 2011. She then came to visit me in Moorea during the month of April 2011, and took a few lessons with me. Mihoko then invited me to teach in her school that consists of more than 400 students who previously practiced Hawaiian dance only, in the South area of Tokyo.

The first series of workshops in Chigasaki gathered 160 students, including about thirty children.

During the month of May 2012, I gave a second series of workshops, this time with two hundred participants. Mihoko began to give Ori Tahiti dance performances at various occasions during the summer of 2012.
